Michael Goodwin continues to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Michael’s return to Southampton was not the end of his fund-raising for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust with the Blue Star Project.

Volunteers working for the CF Trust’s Southampton Branch showed great interested in his circumnavigation of Britain; they themselves were keen sailors and some were parents of children with CF.

As members of the Royal Southern Yacht Club based in Hamble, they invited Mike to give a talk on his sail around Britain within their programme of social meetings which he did.  He and Diane were wined and dined and put up overnight at RSYC’s hotel-style accommodation!

During Michael’s introduction it was explained that he was also the current Commodore of Stafford Coastal Cruising Club and whilst giving his presentation Mike took the opportunity to promote our Club.  A collection for CF was made and Mike was presented with a cheque for £175.
